These ’90 Day Fiancé’ Couples Say They Did a Lot of ‘Scripted’ Things
90 day fiance has been accused of having scripted many scenes in the past. Fans also think some couples are downright wrong. Now, after much speculation, many former couples and cast members are coming clean about what was real – and what was scripted.
Larissa Dos Santos Lima said her boyfriend Eric never paid for plastic surgery
One of the main story points for Larissa Dos Santos Lima was her boyfriend, Eric, paying $70,000 for plastic surgery. Lima, who rose to fame after starring in 90 day fiance with ex-husband Colt Johnson, said the whole story was faked. According to CinemaBlend, she also claimed that although she had the plastic surgery, the “Eric paid for it” part was fabricated by TLC for publicity purposes.
Stephanie Davison Says the Entire ’90 Day Fiancé’ Story Was Scripted
fans of 90 day fiance will recall Stephanie Davison’s script from the show’s eighth season. Davison flew to Belize to be with her alleged boyfriend, Ryan, but they broke up when she got there. She was then shown “meeting” Ryan’s cousin Harris. Ultimately, however, Harris returned to his wife and children.
Davison was so infuriated by the way the show edited its story that she skipped the reveal. She then took to her Instagram page to tell her side of the story.
In the Instagram Story, Davison revealed that she and Ryan were a couple in May 2020 when they first auditioned. However, they separated two months later. Davison then claimed that TLC producers forced her to travel to Belize for the show to film the breakup. Finally, she claimed that the whole story with Harris was faked and created so the production could get more footage of her in Belize.
She also disputed the 90 day fiance script that implied that she was an alcoholic and drug addict. His personal trainer and friend, Frank, also appeared in the video to testify that Davison was neither an alcoholic nor a drug addict.
Parts of Robert and Anny’s screenplay were also scripted
These days, 90 day fiance fans know and love Robert and Anny from Pillow talk. But before that, they were on the show, detailing their quest to bring Anny to America.
At one point, Anny had a run-in with Robert’s ex-mother-in-law, Stephanie Woodcock, who is her son Bryson’s grandmother. Woodcock offered to pay Anny up to $15,000 to return to the Dominican Republic. When Anny refused, Woodcock accused Anny of only being with Robert for a green card.
In an interview with InTouch, Woodcock said the 90 day fiance the producers scripted much of this story. “I had to borrow a checkbook because the producers asked me to, [and] have screenshots to prove it,” she said. “I know the truth, [and] who I am as a person, parent and grandparent. And really, that’s all that matters.
