Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center – Jefferson Health Appoints Director
Andrew Chapman, DO, FACP, was appointed director of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center—Jefferson Health.
Chapman, who will also serve as executive vice president of oncology services, had served as the center’s interim director for the past year.
“It is impossible to ignore the significant contributions that Dr. Chapman has made as interim director of the center,” Bruce Meyer, MD, MBA, president of Jefferson Health and senior executive vice president of Thomas Jefferson University, said in a press release. “Dr. Chapman’s breadth of experience and expertise, dedication to patient care and success in cancer research made him the ideal candidate for this critical role at Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center.

Chapman worked in private practice before joining Jefferson as Division Director of Regional Cancer Care in the Department of Medical Oncology.
He directs the Geriatric Oncology Program in the Department of Medical Oncology, where he is also Vice President of Operations. He developed the department’s specialist patient-centered practice and is also the founding director of the senior adult oncology program.
